BIG SCARVES AND MESSY BUNS

Monday, 12 December 2016

The sun may have been out in full force but the truth of the matter in these dark and cold times is that if you step outside, you will probably freeze to death. So what I needed was to put together the ultimate winter warmer of an outfit. So what’s my essential piece to an outfit like this? A HUGE SCARF.  Like seriously, if you have a big old scarf, you’re probably destined to survive anything.

I eyed this very scarf up about 4 years ago now (it’s basically vintage) in the Heathrow Airport Accessorize store. My sister saw me checking it out and surprised me with it for Christmas a few months later; I was so impressed she had remembered me even looking at it! Ever since then it has always been my trusty winter companion.

Large scarves aren’t my only winter love right now however. I also have a bit of thing for anything tan coloured. So I decided to pair my rather large winter accessory with a cute tan funnel neck and a pair of black denim dungarees. I am not the most sleekest looking of girls and normally am rocking the bed head look more than the pristinely waved hair look so a messy top bun was my way of finishing off this winter look!
